Delaware offers unique competitive advantages to its health sciences firms, including a streamlined regulatory process, proximity to complementary businesses and prospects, and strong industry investment in research and development. More than 20 industry leaders have joined forces to define the cluster and identify target companies.
In Fiscal Year 2006, this dynamic industry represented 45,227 jobs in Delaware, and contributed more than $3.1 billion to Delaware's economy.
