Colleges and Universities

A broad range of choices exists for students of all ages pursuing post-secondary education in Delaware. Collectively, the publicly supported University of Delaware, Delaware State University and Delaware Technical and Community College, plus the six independent institutions (Goldey-Beacom College, Wesley College, Widener University, Wilmington College, the Delaware College of Art and Design and Drexel University@Wilmington) provide quality education to Delawareans and many students are drawn to our centers of learning from other states and countries.

Business, Mathematics, Science, Liberal Arts, Education, Nursing, Engineering, Criminal Justice and myriad other fields of learning await students, offering programs ranging from the associate's degree to the Ph.D. Prospective students can explore their choice of more than 50 master's degree programs throughout Delaware. Beyond that, some individuals will want to apply to one of the many doctoral degree programs available, including a law degree from Widener University; or a medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University of Philadelphia through the Delaware Institute of Medical Education and Research (DIMER); or optometry training through another state contract with the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
