Labor Regulations
Wage payment
- Wages must be paid at least once each month;
- Employees must be paid all wages within seven (7) days from the close of each pay period (with some exceptions see Section 1102(d)); etc.

- The minimum wage is $6.15 as of October 1, 2000.

- Work Permits are required for minors 14 to 17 years old.
- The law restricts hours of work and prohibits employment in hazardous occupations.

- Employers are prohibited by state and/or federal law from discriminating against employees because of their race, color, religion, age, generally 40 years of age or older, sex (including pregnancy), marital status, genetic information, or national origin.
