Dover -  The Delaware Economic Development Office (DEDO) and officials from the University of Delaware's Institute for Public Administration announced the February economic development strategy meetings.

The public meeting is part of a series of meetings for a statewide economic development plan that will stimulate business, foster a diversified economy and improve the quality of life for workers and residents across all areas of Delaware. The project is the development of a blue print for a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy.

The Sussex County Committee Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. The meeting will be held Room 344 A and B in the Arts & Science Building on the Owens Campus of Delaware Technical & Community College.

"The purpose of this meeting is to convene once more as a working group and committee to review established goals, objectives, and current economic development initiatives," Julia O'Hanlon, Sussex County Committee member and policy specialist for the University if Delaware, said. "We will focus on working through specific strategies and recommendations for the goals and objectives."

The Kent County Committee Meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 22 from noon to 2 pm at the Kent County Administrative Building, Room 221. The building is located at 555 Bay Road in Dover.

New Castle County will hold a public workshop on Tuesday, February 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Delaware Technical and Community College, Stanton Campus, Room 114/116 in Newark.
