Main Street Month Opportunities Abound
Educational Programs Offered May 28th to Enhance Local Main Street Promotions

DOVER, Del. (May 21, 2009) - Downtown Delaware, a resource center within the Delaware Economic Development Office, invites you to attend the following presentations on May 28th to learn about downtown revitalization small town successes.

Does Main Street Work in Really Small Towns?
If you represent one of Delaware's many rural, small towns, you won't want to miss this presentation! Jane Seaton, State Coordinator for Main Street Iowa, will be enchanting us with "Small Town Successes". That is, achievements made by Iowa's Rural Main Street communities, some of which have populations as low as 500! Jane will speak at the Public Archives in Dover at noon and in Milton at 7 PM in the downtown Milton Theatre, Union Street.

Main Street Basic Training: Organization & Promotions
Be our guest to learn more about two points of Main Street as Kathy LaPlante, Program Officer for the National Trust Main Street Center focuses on the Organization component of a local revitalization program and Fay Jacobs, Executive Director, Rehoboth Beach Main Street, speaks on the responsibilities of the Promotions Committee. A MUST for new volunteers to downtown revitalization. Come for all or just a part.
